Bodum 11571-01US Pour Over Coffee Maker with Permanent Filter, 34 oz, Black
Hi, this is Mary. I want to review the Bodum Pour Over Coffee Maker I got a couple of weeks ago. I chose it because I've been drinking Pour Over Coffee for a while. I like the taste of it. It's really easy to use. I have this little plastic coffee filter, I get a paper filter, and I just put it in my coffee and pour it, and it tastes great. It's really fast, but the problem is if more than one person wants to drink coffee at a time, you have to go and get another cup, and wait until the other person is finished brewing. So I bought this because I thought it would solve that problem. It also has this mesh filter, so you don't need the paper filters anymore, and I'll show you how it works. It's really easy. You just put in, then scoops that you want, and then you pour boiling water over it, and it brews very, very quickly right through to there, and the coffee tastes great, but the problem is that there is no way to keep it warm once you've made the coffee. You have to pour it into a thermos or reheat in the microwave if you're not gonna drink it instantly, and the other thing is this mesh filter for Pour Over Coffee, you need very fine coffee grinds, and too many of them went right through, and so, I had a lot of grit in my coffee. So all in all, it didn't solve my problems. I could get a paper filter, but that would defeat the purpose of not having to buy filters all the time, and I'll use it if there are a lot of people around, but for the most part, I'll go back to bring one cup at a time. So I'm not giving it a really great review.
